About the Text to Image Converter

A text image is useful when plain text cannot be pasted: a quote for a slide, a snippet that should not be copied by mistake, a caption for a social post, or a message that must look the same on every device. Rendering it as a PNG fixes the layout and the fonts.

The tool lays out the text at the width you choose and wraps on word boundaries. Very long words, links and unspaced Chinese or Japanese text break at the character level. The preview updates as you type, so the downloaded PNG matches what you see.

Fonts are the system fonts on your device: Sans, Serif and Mono map to the typefaces available there. A PNG made on one computer may use a slightly different face than one made on another, so check the result on the device where people will view it.

FAQ

Text to Image Converter — frequently asked

How do I make the text wrap at a specific width?

Set the width field to the pixel width you need, such as 1080 for an Instagram square or 1200 for a blog header. The text wraps inside that width minus the padding on both sides. Increase the font size to fill more height.

Can I use emoji and non-English text?

Yes. The canvas draws whatever characters your system fonts provide, including accented Latin, Cyrillic, Chinese, Japanese and emoji. Glyph shapes depend on the fonts installed on your device, so a rare script may use a fallback font.

Does the image support a transparent background?

No. The tool fills the background with the colour you choose, so the PNG is opaque. To get transparency, remove the background in an image editor afterwards, or use a background-removal tool on the exported file.

What is the largest image I can create?

The width can be up to 4000 pixels and the height up to 16000 pixels. Anything beyond that is refused with a message, so split a very long text into several images or lower the font size.

Why does the text look slightly different from my word processor?

The image uses the browser's canvas text engine with the font family you select. Hinting and anti-aliasing can differ slightly from a word processor, and a fallback font is used when one is missing. Line spacing is fixed at 1.4 times the font size.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The text is measured and drawn in your browser, and the PNG is created locally. Nothing is sent to a server, so drafts, private messages and code snippets stay on your device.
